KYMTC Presents The Sound of Music

The Sound of Music remains one of the most beloved musicals of all time.Too high-spirited for the religious life, Maria is dispatched to serve as governess for the seven children of widowed Captain von Trapp. She gradually captures the heart of the stern Captain, however upon returning from their honeymoon they discover that Austria has been invaded by the Nazis. The family narrowly escapes to Switzerland providing one of the most inspirational finales ever presented in musical theatre.The show runs for three weekends. The first weekend has performances on Saturday, April 29th at 7:30 pm with a matinee on Sunday, April 30th at 2 pm. The second weekend has performances on Friday, May 5th, and Saturday, May 6th at 7:30 pm and a matinee on Sunday, May 7th at 2 pm. The third weekend has performances on Friday, May 12th and Saturday, May 13th with a matinee on Sunday, May 14th at 2 pm. Ticket prices are $15 each and will be available at the door, from a cast member, or at Scotiabank, Kemptville.www.kymtc.org.
