2017 marks Canada's sesquicentennial, and here in North Grenville we plan to make this 150th birthday a party to remember!

On Canada Day, Saturday, July 1st, our community will have the opportunity to celebrate with family, friends and neighbours in one of two locations - Riverside Park (Kemptville) and Maplewood Park (Oxford Mills).

The Municipality of North Grenville will host a community fireworks display at dusk in Riverside Park. See our main Canada Day webpage or find us on Facebook to see schedule of events and keep updated on the latest plans!

Celebrate in Riverside Park:

In addition to the parade, there will be plenty of activities for all ages at Riverside Park. Beginning with breakfast at the Kemptville Legion, the day will include face painting, organized games, live music all day, swimming at the Kemptville Pool, sports clinics, dance and fitness demonstrations, the annual Keller Williams Charity Volleyball Tournament, a dog agility show, food and market vendors, the Save-Way Driving School Teen Zone Gravel Jam and Battle of the Bands, and the grand finale fireworks show at dusk (around 10pm).

Canada Day Parade: The parade will depart from Campus Drive at the Kemptville Campus at 4:00 pm on July 1st and make its way through Riverside Park following a route along Concession Road, left on Prescott Street then left again on Rueben Street. Once past the festivities in the park, it will then proceed back onto Prescott Street across the bridge to turn left on Clothier Street West and disperse in the Holy Cross Church parking lot (Click here to see map or click here for google map). There will be bands and dignitaries as well as awards recognizing honourees and prize winning floats.

Celebrate in Maplewood Park: The Oxford Mills Community Association (OMCA) will also host an afternoon of family fun, games and live music at Maplewood Park in Oxford Mills. Stay up to date with OMCA events on their Facebook page at
