It’s Canada’s birthday! And to celebrate, North Grenville has a day full of fun activities and events that will keep you and your family entertained. The day is jam-packed with a variety of fun events that can entertain anyone in the family.
Celebrate in Riverside Park, Kemptville
In the Riverside Park starting at 11:00am, there will be arts and crafts, water gun fights, face painting, henna tattoos, feather hair extensions, a Reptile Rainforest show, games, soccer training, demos and a game of bike and skate, and more. The public pool is open for free public swims at 12:30pm – 1:30pm and 3:00pm – 4:00pm, and has free family swim at 1:45pm – 2:45pm.
The parade will depart from the Kemptville campus at 4:00pm, and will travel up Prescott Street, left on Clothier Street, and will end in the Holy Cross parking lot. The theme this year being “Celebrating Canada – Our Home”, the parade should be one of the most extravagant yet! Bands and Dignitaries will be in attendance and it will be fun for the whole family!
Celebrate in Maplewood Park, Oxford Mills
Additionally, Oxford Mills will be having their own celebration, hosted by the Oxford Mills Community Association. There will be live music, food, games, and a silent auction all located in Maplewood Park. With a diverse event lineup from sword fighters to musical acts, Oxford Mills has a quaint yet fantastic Canada Day celebration to offer.
Lastly, Fireworks. The event that everybody looks forward to all year. Riverside Park will be hosting Fireworks that commence at 10:00pm.
